Dear friends!

The legendary TEREM QUARTET, with the support of the Government of St. Petersburg, is pleased to announce the 5th TEREM CROSSOVER International Music Competition to be held from 22 to 26 October 2018 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

TEREM CROSSOVER is a unique competition that challenges traditional thinking about styles and genres. It is open to vocal and instrumental ensembles who do not fit the traditional mould, who have something to say, who are looking for their path.

The main criteria that determine the winners will be professionalism, artistry, quality of arrangement, vivid charisma and musical crossover itself. Musical Crossover refers to freedom in combining different styles and genres in order to expand expressive possibilities and acquire new musical ideas. The winners will be rewarded with cash prizes and valuable awards, as well as concerts in Russia and more.

The Competition international jury will comprise well-known musicians and composers, as well as leading managers and producers from Russia, Europe and Asia.

Besides auditions, the Competition program will include workshops and master-classes hold by the jury members. The final highlight will be the Ceremony of Awards and the closing Gala Concert where the Competition jury and the Competition winners will appear on one stage.

More than 500 musicians from 30 countries of Europe, Asia and America took part in the previous four editions of TEREM CROSSOVER (2010, 2012, 2013, 2014). The ensembles from different countries became winners: HIDE-HIDE (Japan), DaGambas (Latvia), Subtilu-Z (Lithuania); Russian bands: Style-Quartet, Quintet of Four, Black Square, CoffetimeBand, The Five and many others.

The initiator and founder of TEREM CROSSOVER Competition is the well-known TEREM QUARTET - internationally famous ensemble, which has given more than 3000 concerts in 65 countries and is recognized by contemporaries as one of the St. Petersburg cultural icons.
